Cleveland Indians vs Cincinnati Reds – July 6, 2019

The Cincinnati Reds (41-44) will host the Cleveland Indians (48-38) this afternoon at 4:10 PM in the first of the final two games of the first half. The Reds enter play on Saturday just 4.0 games back in the NL Central and 3.5 games out of either NL wild-card spot. The Indians hold the second wild-card spot in the AL and are 6.5 games behind the Twins in the AL Central.

RN Recap: Votto and Puig lead the Reds to third consecutive road win

Votto and Puig both got the Reds off to a big start in the first inning. Anthony DeSclafani could not hold the early lead and struggled through four innings. Eugenio Suarez hit a game tying home run in the fifth inning, and Derek Dietrich had a bloop RBI single in the seventh inning to give the Reds the lead for good.
