Jason Linden joined me again this week for a fun episode of Redleg Nation Radio. We began by discussing current news, answered a few Twitter questions, then asked whether ownership was meddling too much in baseball operations. Short answer: Yes.

We were also joined this week by Jeff Fassero, the pitching coach for Cincinnati’s Triple-A affiliate in Louisville. His comments on Robert Stephenson were extremely interesting, and confirmed some of the things we had long suspected. You aren’t going to want to miss what he had to say. Fassero also had some illuminating comments on Cody Reed and Brandon Finnegan, among others.

  1. The very definition of an owner being too involved. That and the fact that Walt is still in on all the meetings and is often the one that Riggleman is talking to vs Krall or Williams.

    • If that’s the situation, it’s not a recipe for success in the NLC. if the owner is listening to Walt over DW and Krall then old-school is in charge and will continue to be if Riggleman is the future manager.

  2. I know he’s not a prospect but I wish Jason had asked Jeff Fassero about Bailey and his stay in Louisville and what his issues were and what he was working on.
