I feel like I need to post this, for the sake of posterity. This happened earlier this week. When you come at the king, you best not miss.

Joey Votto is savage:

Blame Chad for creating this mess.

Chad launched Redleg Nation in February 2005, and has been writing about the Reds ever since. His first book, “The Big 50: The Men and Moments That Made the Cincinnati Reds” is now available in bookstores and online, at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and wherever fine books are sold. You can also find Chad’s musings about the Cincinnati Reds in the pages of Cincinnati Magazine.

  1. I just wanted to comment for The Wire reference alone. Omar is one of the greatest and most complex characters in tv history. He and Joey Votto have a lot in common in that manner.

  2. Too funny. I remember when you used to be thin. And Votto is, again, among the league leaders in just about everything and I’m guessing.

  3. I’m guessing he gets this all the time and handles it with (savage) humor. Love me some Votto.
