This week, Doug Gray (Reds Minor Leagues) joined me to discuss everything you need to know about the Cincinnati Reds farm system. It’s a rousing discussion of all of the club’s top prospects, though I kept interrupting the conversation to sing the praises of Billy Hamilton. What’s that all about?

I can’t urge you enough to support Doug on Patreon. He’s providing a great product to Reds fans.

  1. this is not the podcast with Doug. this is the broadcast the week after Dick Williams interview.

    • Oops. It’s fixed now. Sorry!

      • Excellent podcast. Don’t Care what Mahles potential is. The kid is the best performing starting pitcher in the entire Reds organization. In my book performance and deliverables outweigh potential

  2. Simon – did you agree with the Mike Leak pick? He was also a more finished product with little upside. A good number #4-5 starter, but no Ace. Most WS champions are won by teams with an Ace(s)…

Another example would be Cars…A brand new Nissan Versa is about $12k….finished product with no upside. however, you could buy a used B4 or B5 Audi S4 with huge potential and upside….Which is the better buy?
