If you’ve been to Great American Ball Park during a series against the Chicago Cubs, you know that there are always far too many blue t-shirts in the stands. Now that the Cubs are defending World Series champs, their collection of bandwagon fans has become even more insufferable and more bandwagon-ny, or something like that.

Kudos to the Reds for poking some fun at those new Cubs fans on the scoreboard.

  1. Fish in a barrel. What took them so long?

  2. Stupid Cubs.

  3. Worst fans in baseball are Cubs fans.

    • I’ve been to a lot of games as a Reds fan at Wrigley, and I gotta admit that it was always a good experience and I was treated well.

      • I’ve only been to Wrigley in Reds gear three times. I was treated alright. Picked on a little but it was mostly good-natured.

  4. This was absolutely hilarious…probably reasonably accurate…but not the classiest thing ever.

  5. If you know the rivalry, you know that “White Sox fan in 2005” stung the worst. Thought this was a fantastic idea by the Reds folks.

I’d continue the theme today and thank Cubs fans for helping the Reds afford Luis Robert.

  6. The Milwaukee Bucks started this for Golden State Warrior fans.

  7. I’m pretty embarrassed by the disproportionate representation.

  8. That was really a very good idea. All in good humor. Great job, Reds front office – whoever thought of it. Do it again!
