The Reds travel to Beantown to take on the defending World Series champion Red Sox.  Is it possible to look at this brief two game stint and not think about the 1975 World Series?  I guess that is one of the perks of interleague play.  It allows us to look back at some of the past World Series matchups which really mean nothing today and reflect on the past.  With that said, I’m not a fan anymore of these interleague games.

With that said, us Reds fans can look at this series with the excitement of knowing the Reds get to use the Designated Hitter!  Nothing says DH quite like watching Neftali Soto bat.  No offense to Mr. Soto, but how many teams are using a DH with 2 career hits?

With that said, I still think the Reds get a win tonight.  If I didn’t feel that way, I wouldn’t be much of a fan now would I.  Discuss the game here and GO REDS!!!

Lineup:
1. Heisey RF
2. Votto 1B
3. Phillips 2B
4. Frazier 3B
5. Ludwick LF
6. Schumaker CF
7. Cozart SS
8. Soto DH
9. Barnhart C

A simple Reds fan from a simple town. I have been a Reds fan all my life. The 1990 team was crowned Champions during my prime youth years and I grew up idolizing Chris Sabo all the way down to the flat top hair style and the #17. I have passed that love of the Reds down to my three boys who love the game and the Reds just as much as I do! Follow me on twitter @CoachWilson17
