After an outstanding series against the Diamondbacks that saw the Reds take 3 of 4, the Reds look to continue that momentum into a series against the Brewers. The Reds are 5-1 on the season against the Brewers at Great American Ballpark and really need to improve on that record even more if the club wants to keep pace and/or catch the Cardinals and Pirates in the division. (Of course the Reds will have their chance to do that head to head soon enough)
Homer Bailey will be making his second consecutive start against the Brewers tonight. In his last outing, he went 8 innings, allowing a run on 3 hits to pick up the win for the Reds. He will face Yovani Gallardo, whose last outing was also against the Reds and was equally impressive. Gallardo went 6.1 innings of shutout baseball, allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks. In fact, Gallardo has pitched 12.1 scoreless innings against the Reds in his last 2 starts against the club, allowing only 6 hits in those 2 games. Let’s hope tonight means the Reds are due!

A simple Reds fan from a simple town. I have been a Reds fan all my life. The 1990 team was crowned Champions during my prime youth years and I grew up idolizing Chris Sabo all the way down to the flat top hair style and the #17. I have passed that love of the Reds down to my three boys who love the game and the Reds just as much as I do! Follow me on twitter @CoachWilson17
