So, I was like, “Who the heck is Shane Dyer?” So, I looked him up.

“Signed by the Detroit Tigers as a Minor League free agent on Nov. 22, 2012. … Selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the sixth round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft out of South Mountain Community College. … Selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 24th round of the 2006 Draft out of Eaton (Colo.) High School, but did not sign.” Then silent…

Until Redzone writes on June 1st, 2013, “Reds sign FA pitcher Shane Dyer. Drafted by Tampa, he has not pitched anywhere in 2013 that I have been able to tell.”

He’s 25 and has very nice stats all the way up to AA in the Rays system until he reach AAA for 9 games. He got hit around. Last year he pitched a VERY nice line in AA for the Tigers.

He looks a lot like Lotzkar 2 years from now.
