Yorman Rodriguez also went 2-4 and hit his 4th homerun of the season. Marquez Smith went 2-4 with a double, single, and an RBI.
Jake Johnson improved to 3-1 on the year by allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk over 7 innings pitched. He struck out 6.
Lansing 7 – Dayton 4
Brent Peterson reached base 3 times from the leadoff spot thanks to 2 singles and a walk. This led to 2 runs scored for the Dragons. Roberto Ramirez and Wagner Gomez added 2 singles each while Seth Mejias-Brean doubled and had 2 RBI.
Pedro Diaz allowed 5 runs in 5 innings to fall to 0-3. The runs scored via 6 hits and 2 walks.
