The game is about to start.  It’s the rubber game of the series.  Let’s all pull for a Reds win.

  1. What is BP smokin!

  2. If the #2 hitter had been on base twice today, this is a completely different game.

  3. Just get on base fellas.

  4. Sure, let’s have the minor leaguer finish the game. Why exhaust all possible opportunities to win.

    • @fakename: So that’s the problem. And here I was thinking that what appeared to be a good shot at a late rally went south when Todd Frazier hit into another double play with a man on and on one out.

      • @kywhi: I’ll take Frazier’s hard hit balls to third and live with the consequences. Frazier isn’t the team’s offensive problem.

        • @fakename: I didn’t say Frazier was this team’s offensive problem. He did, howsoever, contribute to our offensive woes in today’s game (the one I was talking about) with two very untimely double plays.

  5. 38,821 on hand for today’s titanic struggle, 38,821

  6. Gooooooo Dusty !!
And take Brook Jacoby with you.

  7. It’s hard to find a better time for the Reds to get a day off. Go clear your heads boys, then put a whooping on the Stupid Cubs.

  8. Seriously though, for the folks who want Dusty gone, the Reds will need to have a bad season. Personally, I am not too worried. I said I’d be happy with a .500 April so with all the injuries, I am very happy with 15-13. Looking at the upcoming schedule, I think the Reds should be able to get back on track. I am thankful for the off day tomorrow though. This whole team needs a day.

    • @LWBlogger: Sign me up for a sub .500 season if it gets Baker fired. His CubStink has messed with the Reds since he got here. Whatever it takes to get it done.

  9. Maybe the Reds can regroup with a day off tomorrow. Maybe the Cubs can cure what ails the Reds. Fridays game is a day game 2:20 start time. Go Reds (notice there’s no exclamation points)To say my enthusiasm has waned is a major understatement.

  10. TOSTOSTOSTOS

The Reds need to do something to fix the offense. It isn’t like they have been facing Nolan Ryan every game.

Trading for Mark Teahen certainly isn’t the answer.

  11. Welp, the April Murder’s Row schedule is officially done. Time for the Reds to start beating up on inferior opponents and making up ground.

  12. Speaking of days off, has anyone noticed how oddly the days off are spaced this year? The Reds have two weeks with BOTH Monday and Thursday off (oddly, both sandwiched around two-game series vs. Oakland). But then, apart from this 20-game stretch, there’s also another 20-game stretch, a 17-game stretch and a 16-game stretch with no breaks.

  13. DUSTY BAKER….YOU ARE A FRIGGIN MORON…I HAVE NEVER HATED SOMEBODY SO MUCH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE..JUST LOOKING AT YOU AND YOU’RE STINKING TOOTHPICK MAKES ME WANT TO PUNCH A HOLE IN THE WALL. YOU ARE SINGLE-HANDEDLY MAKING ME HATE THE GAME OF BASEBALL. WAKE UP WALT, YOU HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM WITH A JV MANAGER AND A TEE BALL HITTING COACH.
