Cincinnati signed pitcher Clay Hensley to a minor league deal yesterday and invited him to spring training as a non-roster player. Hensley, of course, pitched for the World Champion Giants last year, and he’s been around the big leagues for seven years.

He’s minor league depth, and the Reds will always need that.

  1. It’s kinda like when they signed World Series MVP Edgar Renteria. Then you look into the details and you’re not so excited anymore. Hopefully Hensley will return to 2010 form.
