Our friend John Sickels of the excellent Minor League Ball blog is currently conducting a discussion about the Reds organization, in anticipation of the release of his Reds’ top prospects list. Go give them the benefit of the Nation’s insight.

Blame Chad for creating this mess.

Chad launched Redleg Nation in February 2005, and has been writing about the Reds ever since. His first book, “The Big 50: The Men and Moments That Made the Cincinnati Reds” is now available in bookstores and online, at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and wherever fine books are sold. You can also find Chad’s musings about the Cincinnati Reds in the pages of Cincinnati Magazine.

  1. Completely different topic, but do the Reds have any of the top 25 players under the age of 25? I saw that there was a list released recently about it…

Thanks, if anyone wants to post it.

  2. @rhayex: I haven’t checked, but I’d bet 1 Million Dollars that Billy Hamilton is in the top 5 of every minor league or soon to be “superstar” list for any age range.

  3. @rhayex: ESPN mentioned that Latos just missed the cutoff (they predicted him to be the player this year with the best chance of becoming a superstar) and Chapman was #13. In order to qualify for the list you had to have played at least one year in the majors. They are going to do a separate list for top minor league players.
