Since we’ve been publishing emails lately, here’s another one:

I am hoping that you can help me rally Reds fans behind my husband. He is one of 4 finalists across the country in the Pepsi Max Field of Dreams contest. If he gathers the most votes before October 5th, he will have a chance to play against baseball legends such as Reggie Jackson, Randy Johnson, Ken Griffey, Jr. (my daughter’s favorite) and his all-time favorite player, Johnny Bench. He entered this contest not knowing he would have a chance to play them, but rather with the intent to vote his favorite Reds players onto this team. He would like nothing more than to bring people like Johnny Bench and Ken Griffey, Jr. home to Ohio to play before some of their most devoted fans, rather than sending them to New Jersey, Colorado or Florida.

Unfortunately, the Cincinnati Reds organization is not in a position to help us get out the vote. If you could help us rally Reds fans, it would be a great help. The other contestants are really pushing their connections to the Yankees and Red Sox, and we know that their fans are very devoted. We know that Reds fans love their players too, though.

I am attaching the video that they showed on ESPN and have been showing on the internet.

People can vote by going to www.mlb.com/pepsimax. They can vote up to 50 times per day per computer through October 5th.

  1. 20 votes so far today!

  2. I’ll bang out a few votes for you.

  3. Did 50. We’ll bring him home a winner.

  4. I voted for Tim a few times. Will vote a few more times later. What a great idea.
