AZL Giants 9 – AZL Reds 3 (AZL Playoff Game)

The AZL Reds finished the regular season in 2nd place, three games back in the AZL Central with a 31-25 record and qualified for the playoffs as the Wildcard team. They lost 9-3 in the one game playoff with the Giants who will move on to the one game AZL Championship game against the AZL Dodgers who finished ahead of the AZL Reds in the central division.

Josef Terry went 2 for 4 with a 2B. Julio Morillo went 1 for 2 with 2 BB. Gabriel Rosa tripled. Carlos Sanchez, Brandon Dailey, and Brennan May each doubled.

Justice French got the loss as he went 5.1 IP and allowed 5 R on 9 H and 1 BB with 2 K.

    One of Lutz’ homers tied the game in the 8th, the other won it in the 10th. His 18th and 19th of the year (.293/.351/.482 on the year, but .327/.387/.527 in the second half).
