First Jay Bruce, then Thom…now this.

From Brilliant Reader Scott:

Due to broadcast difficulties I was forced to watch the San Diego Padre broadcast of Saturday night’s Reds game.

During the fourth inning, Dick Enberg was sharing glowing words for Cincinnati Reds broadcasters including Marty Brennaman. Just as the Padre broadcast focused on Marty, during the middle of the praise, he shoots the bird to someone off camera. Hilarious!

  1. I think we need an apology.

  2. Don’t hold your breath.

  3. He is how old?

  4. Marty rules.

  5. Don’t mess with the PHFB.

  6. I think it is pretty clear that he was just letting folks know how many outs there were.

  7. I think he should have just looked directly at the camera and flipped all CUBS fans the bird!

  8. Someone might need to remind the Brennaman’s that;
A- there are mics in the booth…and
B- there are A LOT of cameras at a major league game.

I don’t know who that gesture was directed at, but I hope it wasn’t Dick Enberg – he’s a class act.

  9. That is hilarious.

  10. Had to be directed at Thom. πŸ™‚

  11. “We’re number one!”

  12. Marty has officially moved from being a grumpy old man into a curmudgeon. πŸ™„

  13. This is going to be a long, long, season

  14. “Hey, Marty: Adam from Milwaukee is on line two.”

“Hey, Marty: Jim Day wants a word with you.”

  15. Someone asked Marty: “How many times have the Reds had the lead after the first inning?”
