Lee Tabor gets no decision going 5 IP allowing 0 R on 3 H and 0 BB with 1 K. Ruben Medina adds 1.2 IP of scoreless relief. Chris Kelly takes the loss allowing a run in 1 IP.

David Sappelt went 1 for 3 with a 2B and a BB. Jake Kahaulelio doubled.

Rafael Gonzalez takes the loss going 1.1 IP allowing 10 R on 10 H and 1 BB with 1 K. Steven Otterness (2.2 IP) and Mark Pawelek (2 IP) each provide scoreless relief outings.

Low A

Dayton 4 – Quad Cities 3

Carlos Mendez went 2 for 3 with a 3B and a BB. Miguel Rojas went 2 for 3 with a SB. Kyle Day tripled. Josh Fellhauer doubled.

Curtis Partch wins it going 6 IP allowing 0 R on 4 H and 2 BB with 8 K. Andrew Bowman adds 2 IP of scoreless relief.

Billings 6 – Orem 5 (10 Innings)

Yen-Wen Kuo went 3 for 4. Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Tyler Stovall and Tom Nurre each went 2 for 5. Alexis Oliveras doubled.

Leonardo Astorga gets no decision going 5 IP allowing 3 R on 7 H and 2 BB with 3 K. Adian Kummet gets the win with a scoreless inning of relief.

GCL Twins 3 – GCL Reds 2

Jefry Sierra went 2 for 3 with a SB.

Pedro Villarreal takes the loss going 4 IP allowing 3 R, 2 ER, on 3 H and 1 BB with 1 K. Marcos Molina (3 IP), Nathan Driessen (1 IP), and Jacob Wiley (1 IP) each provide scoreless relief outings.

  1. Rob Neyer was pretty impressed with Stubbs it seemed…. called him one of the best prospects in the game and said that he was really really fast

  2. Mendez was a stud in the field last night in Dayton holding runners on at third on grounders and making grabs in behind the bag that he got across to first for the out. Partch even gave it up to him on the radio after the game saying that he was the reason his six innings were scoreless

  3. What is it that the organization thinks Stubbs needs to work on at AAA? I am not asking rhetorically, have they said there is something he needs to be improving on? I saw Dusty’s generic comments about the “little things”, but is there something really keeping him back because the reviews generally seem positive.
