Jerry Hairston was 3 for 5 with a 2B. Jay Bruce went 2 for 5 and is now hitting .323 AVG/.344 OBP/.548 SLG/.892 OPS for the season. David Ross was 0 for 4 in a rehab appearance where he is 2 for 11 with 3 BB overall at AAA. Paul Janish homered. Kevin Barker and Drew T. Anderson both 2B.

Homer Baily puts up another strong start going 7.1 IP allowing no runs, 5 H, 1 BB and recorded 3 K. Bailey’s ERA is now down to 1.03. Bill Bray, .2 IP, and Jim Brower, 1 IP, tossed scoreless relief.


Chattanooga 5 – Mobile 0

Shaun Cumberland went 2 for 3 with a BB and a HR. Jose Castro was 2 for 3.

Sam Lecure goes 6 scoreless IP giving up 3 H and 2 BB while recording 4 Ks. Danny Herrera, 2 IP, and Robert Manuel, 1 IP, throw scoreless relief.

High A

Sarasota 2 – Fort Myers 1

Justin Turner was 2 for 4. Chris Valaika, Drew Stubbs, and Juan Francisco all doubled.

Jordan Smith started and went 6 IP giving up 1 R, 7 H, and 1 BB while striking out 5. Ramon Geronimo added two scoreless innings of relief. Sean Watson threw a scoreless ninth to record his 3rd save.

Low A

Clinton 4 – Dayton 3 (11 Innings)

Keltavious Jones was 3 for 4 with two 3B. Todd Frazier went 2 for 5. Kevyn Feiner and Brandon Waring both doubled.

Redleg Nation Spotlight player Matt Klinker got the start but did not factor into the decision as all four of Clinton’s runs were unearned. He went 5.2 IP allowing 3 R, 0 ER, 6 H, and 0 BB while recording 3 K. Enerio Del Rosario threw 4 scoreless innings of relief. Joseph Krebs took the loss, tossing the final 1.1 IP and allowing an unearned run.

    Another error by Todd Frazier last night, that’s 5 in 15 games. I’m not an expert, but IMO, they need to get him moved to a corner OF position.
