Quick roundup of some interesting Reds-related items:

–Justin has an outstanding Spring Training preview for our favorite team.

–Are the Reds looking at bringing Scott Williamson back to town? I can’t say I’d be opposed to taking a flyer on him.

–Another Spring Training preview, this one from Reds.com. We had some pretty good discussion here the other day about the projected lineup, and the article linked above has made a prediction:

Brandon Phillips 2B
Joey Votto 1B
Junior Griffey RF
Edwin Encarnacion 3B
Adam Dunn LF
Jay Bruce CF
Alex Gonzalez SS
David Ross C

I’ll say this: having BP’s OBP at the top of the order is a good way to decrease run production.

–Couple of other articles from Mark Sheldon over at Reds.com. The first one is about Dusty Baker, and how he’ll run his camp this spring. The second is about the 2008 bullpen. Read that last one on an empty stomach.

–Curt Schilling has this good story about the newest member of the RedSox, our old buddy Sean Casey.

  1. None related, but John Fay and Paul Daugherty are reporting that the Reds are back to talking to Oakland about Joe Blanton.

  2. Non related, that is.

  3. I hope Phillips never sees the leadoff spot.
I also hope Blanton doesn’t become a Red at the cost of Bailey, Votto or Cueto.
