If the rest of the playoffs are as good as last night’s play-in game between the Rockies and the Padres, we’re in for an outstanding October.

Just wish the Reds were still playing, for once.

It’s nice to finally see some new “blood” in the playoffs and not the same old teams (ie. Braves, Mets).

That game was an instant classic if I’ve ever seen one.

As a Padres follower (if not exactly a “fan”), that one hurt. I’ve had it with Hoffman, entirely. First he loses Saturday’s game to Tony Gwynn, Jr., then yesterday it wasn’t even close.

Yeah, the McClellan blew the crap out of that call, but I’m surely doubtful that Trevor Hoffman was going to retire the next batter, anyway.

Jocketty out by mutual decision in St. Louis. Does that have implications in Cincinnati?
