Clearwater 3 – Sarasota 2 (Series Tied 1-1)

Sarasota held an early 1-0 lead before Clearwater scored two in the top of the 4th inning and never looked back. Eric Eymann went 2-3 and Tonys Gutierrez 1-3 with an rbi and run scored.

Daryl Thompson took the loss by allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks over 5 innings. Clearwater tacked on their third run off Robert Manuel who gave up a run on 5 hits over 3 innings.

South Bend 8 – Dayton 4 (Series Tied 1-1)

South Bend scored two in the 8th and 9th innings to break a 4-4 tie and knot the series up at one game apiece. Logan Parker led the Dragons charge by belting a 3 run homer in the 5th that gave the Dragons an early 4-2 lead. Carson Kainer went 2-4 on the night with an rbi.

Billings was postponed.

Couple notes from the Dayton game…Logan Parker hurt his shoulder (?) early in the game diving back into first…it looked like he was coming out of the game, Louwsma came all the way out and was standing on first base, but Logan talked Scott into leaving him in. Logan hit his HR a couple of innings later. But then Scott PH for Parker in his next AB…don’t know if it was for a LHP-RH matchup or if Logan’s shoulder got worse.

    But then later in the game, when you could have expected them to pinch hit for Rodriguez or Cozart with Jones (to get a RHP – LH matchup), he let them hit.

    Also, the couple of games that I’ve seen Frazier play SS, he looks very slow there to me. No quick first step and balls that look like he should at least get close to, he’s not even in the zip code of…

  2. logans shoulder popped out on the dive back to first they put it back but after he hit he said that it was the worst pain he felt he had x-rays this morning and now the doctors are looking at them he wasnt taken out for alefty righty match-up after all he hit the home run off a lefty but he probable wont play tonight
