In the latest of his continuing series of bizarre columns, Lonnie Wheeler says that interim manager Pete Mackanin should be a candidate for the managerial job with the Chicago White Sox (should it open up).

Let me go on the record as whole-heartedly endorsing Mackanin’s candidacy for that managerial job. Hey, ChiSox, please hire Pete Mackanin as your manager, before Wayne Krivsky gets any ideas!

  1. I thought it was a pretty bizarre column too. Also, his writing style is very awkward and not easy to read.

  3. You’re right Chicago. That was a hard column to make any sense out of. I had to read that a couple of times to get my head around the point of the story.

  4. i dont get this about mackinnin i like him.
    he needs to argue a bit more than he does though
