Was an article in BA about Donnie Scott having the Dragons choking up late in the season.

It sure seems to have helped Stubbs, he’s had a great July and August.

Heard at the ballpark the other night that the Discovery Channel’s been filming Carson Kainer for a segment about his transplant surgery and ongoing baseball career. Hope they were there last night for his HR.

19 year old LHP Chiu (GCL), in his last 36 2/3 has a 1.96 ERA with 26 hits, 4 BB, and 31K.

    Couple other notes of interest:

I noticed on redlegnation’s The Big Board yesterday that Matthew Maloney was promoted to Louisville. I guess they figured he’d struck out everyone in AA, so time to move up. Actually, I thought it might be a temporary move to make a spot start in the Louisville doubleheader yesterday, but he didn’t – not even after Belisle was a late scratch and they needed an emergency starter. Ended up being Ramon Ramirez and Victor Santos.

Also in AAA, Chris Dickerson had to leave game 1, being carted off in the middle of an at-bat. Announcers speculated heat exhaustion.
