Game Thread: Diamondbacks at Reds — 2007.07.08

Three wins in a row, with Aaron Harang pitching today. Not a bad scenario.

Harang will be going for his tenth win in today’s afternoon affair at Great American Ballpark, the last game before the All-Star break. It’d be nice to go into the break with a sweep, wouldn’t it?

Discuss it here…and here’s a topic to get it started: two straight series wins, after a June in which the Reds won exactly one series. How did that happen?

  1. I want so bad to have a four game winning streak. Is that too much to ask?

  2. By my reckoning … Hatteberg last 9 games

    16 for 29, 6 walks, 5 runs, 5 rbis, .552 batting avg, .629 on base pct

People like to bat first to get more plate appearances, good plan.

  3. Votto just hit a pop fly over the LF wall. It looked like a pop up and went out!

  4. So they play the Futures game and the MiLB schedule continues as usual? Seems a bit odd.
