Louisville 9, Rochester 5

Joey Votto went 2-4 with a homerun (9) and 3 runs batted in. Anderson Machado and Jessee Gutierrez each added homeruns of their own. It was Machado’s 3rd of the season and Gutierrez’s 2nd. Bobby Livingston improved to 2-4 on the year with a nice outing. Bobby gave up 2 runs on 10 hits while striking out 3.

Carolina 5, Chattanooga 4

Enrique Cruz went 2-4 with a homerun. Cruz drove in 2 which helped the Lookouts take an early 3-0 lead after the top of the first. Jay Garthwaite hit his 7th longball of the season, a solo shot in the 3rd inning. Sam Lecure started the game and received a no decision for his effort. Sam allowed 4 runs on 5 hits and 3 bases on balls. He struck out 2 over 5.2 innings pitched. The outing raised Sam’s ERA to 3.58 on the year.

Sarasota DNP

West Michigan 7, Dayton 4

22 year old shortstop Justin Turner went 1-3 with a walk and an rbi. Turner is hitting .309/.379/.450 through 64 games this season. 19 year old thirdbaseman Juan Francisco went 2-4 in the game with an rbi.

  1. Majewski gave up 2 hits and 1 run in his AAA inning of work. Guardado also had a poor outing (3 hits, 1 bb 2 er in 0.1 inning of work.)

    That was Same Lecure’s first appearance since May 10 (has been on the DL.)

    I think they’ve allowed Guardado to rush himself to the organization’s detriment. I hope I’m wrong.
