I’m posting this from my BlackBerry, so I won’t be long-winded. Let’s see another performance like last night!

  1. Good luck tonight Reds. Just a question before we start…how do we find out the PTBNL on all the deal Wayne did last year. Like, who moved as a result of the Phillips deal, who did we give and who did we get on the Cody Ross transactions. Alot of time these transactions take place and we lose track to the players. Thanks

  2. From Ctrent

    Oswalt p

    and
The date of the Dave Concepcion jersey #13 retirement ceremony has been changed from July 28 to August 25.

  3. By the way:
Josh Hamilton has been named the National League Rookie of the Month

  4. Lets win one vs. Oswalt and the Disastros!

We went way too easy in the top of the first…

  5. Yea, Josh!!!

Last night I asked about Pete, Jr. Tonight I am wondering about our former 2B of a couple years ago. None other than D’Angelo Jimenez. I see he is stinking up the place for the Nationals.

  6. who’s on long duty tonight?

  7. If lohse does not get better soon the pen is well rested.

  8. Nice over the sholder catch by freel

  9. man, a 2 run hole might as well be the grand canyon with our buddy roy out there.

  10. Roy = the Sun?
    according to stros manager

  11. I hate Roy Oswalt. He’s been a Reds killer his whole career. 17-1 or something against us.

  12. How did Houston score? I just got here.

  13. double, triple, single – first 3 batters

  14. Three straight hits to start the ball game scored the three Houston runs. Biggio double, Pence triple, and Berkman single.

  15. Braincramp – two Houston runs, not three.

  16. They scored in the first.
first two batters 2bh, 3bh. for the first run. a singe drove in the other run.

  17. might as well be 30 with Oswalt out there

  18. It’s a shame about Jimenez. He just had no drive to be good. He still tears it up on my MLB 06 though!! MAn I need to upgrade that game.

  19. Can anyone help? How do we find out the PTBNL on all the deal Wayne did last year. Like, who moved as a result of the Phillips deal, who did we give and who did we get on the Cody Ross transactions. Alot of time these transactions take place and we lose track to the players. Thanks

  20. C’mon, Strike out Berkman here!

  21. Wow, 7 men left on base. Odds are not in our favor.

  22. I dunno, Mike. That information has to be out there somewhere. I’ll do some digging.

  23. HR dunn

  24. Dunn with a HR!!!

    Dunn loves Houston.

  25. nice Dunn

  26. Thats why he can never call Houston home, we couldn’t afford to play there

  27. Mike – here’s a RedlegNation post from January that had a rundown of the PTBNL over the past year-plus.

  28. Meant to add, check the comments to find out the couple of PTBNL that people discovered. Not comprehensive – maybe baseball-reference would be a good place to find more.

  29. Aha – forget the previous link. Baseball-Reference has it covered – 2006 transactions.

  30. Lee robes hatte

  31. Thanks DA

  32. come on griff

  33. rats

  34. I’d love to get a run this inning.

  35. First and third. Dunn at the plate.

  36. double rats. &^*% #*$(%

  37. man this is bad

  38. i think i just had a minor heart attack

  39. Krivsky needs to find an Oswalt killer out there. There must be someone out there that owns him.

  40. we’ll get them next time time down the order!

  41. Chad, did that UVa pitcher get the win yesterday – the one who didn’t throw a pitch? Because if the Reds can come back to take a lead here in the ninth, Stanton could be in that same situation after picking off Hunter Pence to end the eighth.

Currently 3-1 Astros, Dan Wheeler is in to try and close it.

  42. Not tonight. 3-1 final.

  43. No, that pitcher didn’t get the win, DA. The same thought occurred to me when I saw Stanton pick the runner off.

There was a wacky ending to the UVa game I attended last night.

Game tied 4-4, bottom of the ninth, two outs. UVa’s 9th hitter laces a single into CF, bringing up the freshman leadoff hitter. A couple of pitches into the AB, the runner on first breaks for second and is thrown out by a mile…so VCU starts running into the dugout, ready to start extra innings.

But wait…the home plate umpire is trying to get everyone back on the field because he says he called a balk. VCU goes nuts, to no avail, and they come back onto the field.

You guessed it. On the very next pitch, Virginia gets a hit to drive in the runner from second and win the game.

    Crazy ending.
