Tuesday’s game Chad Dotson 03/27/2007 6 I love Rheal Cormier. (Yes, that was sarcasm.) David 03/28/2007 The Detroit papers are talking about Detroit’s interest in him. I’d be happy with a trade. brublejr 03/28/2007 I would give Milton and Comier away for nothing, and that would be about the best we could hope for. Shawn 03/28/2007 Hamilton was a pitcher-outfielder in high school. You’ve seen his arm. He was made an OF as a pro. preach 03/28/2007 Listening to Tuesday’s game on WLW I made the following observations: 1. According to Marty’s comments the blogging world is not the only ones talking about how terrible Milton is. Marty said he might not even be the fifth starter. One can never be sure of what Marty knows, but it certainly could be an interesting development. 2. It was nice to see JR lay down a bunt to defeat the shift. I know it happened in March, but hopefully it will give defenses something to think about once the games count. 3. Freel is a legit center fielder. Due to his style of play I think we may see a lot of Hamilton coming in to replace him. 4. Every broadcaster loves Jeff Conine. I am beginning to think that him and Hat platooning will be fairly successful and can adequately hold down the position until Votto comes aboard. 5. Lohse must throw a first pitch strike.Has there ever been greater evidence of the ol’ ‘get ahead early in the count’ philosophy than what we witnessed Tuesday? He looked (well, sounded) like Nolan Ryan early with that first pitch heater strike. It’s mental with him, I’m convinced. 6. Cormier needs to go. I was one of the folks who thought he was a great acquisition at the time, but I can admit I was wrong. Trade him while some GM’s may still look at his Phillie stats from last year. That would free up a very needed spot for one of our youngsters.
