Doc Scott has received his Baseball Prospectus, and he has a review here. I’ve received mine as well, but I’ve only read the Reds section so I was waiting before I commented on it here.

I have to say, however, I can’t disagree with much of what Doc says about the Reds-specific portion of the book. I was underwhelmed.

Blame Chad for creating this mess.

  1. I agree. I think I said this a week or so ago, but I don’t care for the new author assigned to the Reds. A lot of “conventional wisdom,” little to no insight, and only a passing familiarity with the club. Reminded me of reading an Athlon, frankly.

Let us know how the Hardball Times annual looks.
