About the only thing that kept me at all interested in the Reds the last few weeks was the offensive finish for Adam Dunn.

He got his 40th HR today.

He got his 100th RBI the other day, giving him 100 RBIs and 100 Runs scored for the second year in a row. The only Reds player to ever do this twice (and only the second player to ever do it at all, the first being Joe Morgan).

The Reds could save a lot of money by signing Dunn to a long term deal. They take him to arbitration, he’s going to hurt their wallet.

About The Author

I've been a Reds fan since the late '60's, with my luck of being able to attend plenty of games at Riverfront during the BRM era. I was sitting in the Green Seats in the OF when Pete came home in '84 and was in the Red seats when Glenn Braggs reached over the fence in '90 to beat the Pirates. I have had many favorites from Jim Maloney to Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, Adam Dunn, and Jay Bruce.

Has anyone ever accused the Reds of doing something intelligent?
