Expect the “interim” label to be removed from Jerry Narron’s title soon.

Why not? He seems to be a pretty solid ‘baseball’ guy. We’re certainly not going to get a ‘big name’ manager like Lou Pinella with the money the Reds pay.

I don’t have a problem with it. The Reds played closer to their ability under Narron, and he didn’t do anything exceptionally stupid.

Of course, until O’Brien and Allen and maybe Linder are gone, nothing is going to change, so the identity of the manager isn’t that important in the scheme of things.

I can’t say I’m thrilled about it. He was okay. We need more than okay.

I’m inclined to agree with Chad. Until Uncle Carl takes the dirt-nap, and John Allen is recognized as an incompetent and dismissed, nothing is going to change. There are very few things that they can sell me anymore. They are approaching mid-90’s Bengaldom.
