New Red

Marc Lancaster is reporting that Chris Denorfia is taking batting practice, and presumably will be with the team tonight against the Brew Crew. That would be good news, if only because it would probably mean that the team would release Ben Weber to make room on the 40 man roster.

I guess we’ll find out tonight if the Reds have lied about Junior’s condition, or if he’s been misdiagnosed…again. Will he be in the lineup?

  1. I would assume he is going to play CF in place of Griffey. Give Junior a few days off and let Chris get a taste of the bigs. There is certainly no reason to rush Junior back out except to ease the masses on his injury status.
