I’m curious as to why Eddie Valdez hasn’t merited a promotion at some point this season? This is his 3rd, at least partial, season at High A. Last year he had 7 CG in 18 starts with a 4.06 ERA (1.31 WHIP), this year his WHIP is 1.13 and his ERA is 1.95. He only threw 69 inning this year but that’s because of the 75 pitch limit, which must not have been in effect last year at Potomoc.
Is there that much good pitcing at AA or is it b/c he’s an undrafted FA?

At the risk of sounding harsh, why is a 14-year-old minor league veteran still playing?
