  1. Bruce is holding his own at Billings…and he’s only 18 years old. He’s liable to be in Dayton or Sarasota before the end of next year at 19.

Don’t want to get too excited based on such a small sample size, but there is a lot to like about this young man’s future. What Bill observed first hand in Florida bodes well, too.

  2. Matt, the GCL Reds are done for the year. Their season ended on, I think, the 25th.

I’m curious to see where Bruce is next year…I’d guess he’ll start in Billings.

  3. I think there’s little question that Bruce will start at Billings. How quickly he is promoted, if at all, will be very interesting to watch.

If he’s in Sarasota by the end of the year, he’s ahead of schedule, as far as I’m concerned. If he’s in Chattanooga, he’s a star.

  4. I’m also interested to see how the two pitchers, Wood and Avery advance. Avery’s in Dayton (college pitcher) and Wood’s in Billings (HS) and both have been impressive. I’m supposed to see Avery tonight, if the game’s not rained out.
