  1. Something’s wrong with Kearns’ thumb. He’s thrown two more bats already today. He can’t hold onto them over the last few weeks.

    And he’s probably not telling anyone about it because he’s afraid he’ll be benched if he’s not manly enough to play through the pain.

  2. I don’t care how bad the record is — this is a fun team to watch.

  3. He shook his right hand after letting go of the bat the second time, but he might have done it just to blame it on the hand as if it wasn’t his fault.
