From Baseball America

Ty Howington made a rehab start on Saturday, throwing 2 scoreless innings.

In another note, my bud, Kevin Haltiwanger got tagged with the loss in the game on an unearned run. He threw 4 innings only giving up one hit (though 4 walks) and lowered his ERA to 1.83.

My other bud, Bo Lanier pitched on Sunday, throwing 3 innings and not giving up any earned runs either. He lowered his ERA to 3.73.

I’ve been a Reds fan since the late ’60’s, with my luck of being able to attend plenty of games at Riverfront during the BRM era. I was sitting in the Green Seats in the OF when Pete came home in ’84 and was in the Red seats when Glenn Braggs reached over the fence in ’90 to beat the Pirates. I have had many favorites from Jim Maloney to Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, Adam Dunn, and Jay Bruce.

  1. Anyone know the status of Ty Howington for 2006? Is he out of baseball now. His grandpa and my dad were best friends and Dad and I would enjoy knowing whatever happened to him?
