James Avery

According to the DDN James Avery, the Reds 5th pick, has been promoted from the GCL Reds to Dayton. Avery was 0-1 with a 2.12 ERA in 17 IP in Sarasota (GCL).

He was drafted out of Niagara University.

Avery is the second player from this year’s draft to be promoted to the Dragons this season.

Adam Rosales (SS, #12 pick from Western Michigan) is hitting .317/.341/.474 in 17 games since being promoted to the Dragons.

I’ve been a Reds fan since the late ’60’s, with my luck of being able to attend plenty of games at Riverfront during the BRM era. I was sitting in the Green Seats in the OF when Pete came home in ’84 and was in the Red seats when Glenn Braggs reached over the fence in ’90 to beat the Pirates. I have had many favorites from Jim Maloney to Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, Adam Dunn, and Jay Bruce.
