The Reds aren’t very good, are they?

I love them anyway.

Blame Chad for creating this mess.

  1. Yeah Chad, unfortunately they suck. I know exactly what you mean. Even though they suck, I refuse to give up on them. The position players are about as good as any team in the division with the posible exeption of the Cards. The pitching staff is laughable. You just know that players who are mired in long slumps look to the schedule and know that everything will get better once they face the Cincinnati staff.
I grew up watching the big Red Machine. I doubt I’ll ever see another Reds group like them in my lifetime.

  2. I reached Apathy Stage III tonight. Then turned on the Padres game to see a pumped-up Jake Peavy throw 8 innings of 3-hit, 0 run, 13 K ball — in a wildly entertaining fashion, for a first-place team, in a sold-out park. Yeah, there was a contrast.
