Left-hander Phil Dumatrait pitched five innings of four-hit, shutout ball in Double-A Chattanooga’s 4-0 loss at Tennessee.

Dumatrait, who is coming off Tommy John elbow surgery, is a combined 0-3 with a 3.58 ERA in seven starts at Chattanooga and Sarasota.

I’ve been a Reds fan since the late ’60’s, with my luck of being able to attend plenty of games at Riverfront during the BRM era. I was sitting in the Green Seats in the OF when Pete came home in ’84 and was in the Red seats when Glenn Braggs reached over the fence in ’90 to beat the Pirates. I have had many favorites from Jim Maloney to Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, Adam Dunn, and Jay Bruce.

  1. I also like what Ben Kozlowski is doing down there. 2.62 ERA in 7 starts. 34 1/3 innings, 32 hits, 8 walks, 32 k’s.

Richie Gardner is posting some scary numbers, though.
