The DDN has an article on the Reds minor league pitching philosophy.

I’ve been a Reds fan since the late ’60’s, with my luck of being able to attend plenty of games at Riverfront during the BRM era. I was sitting in the Green Seats in the OF when Pete came home in ’84 and was in the Red seats when Glenn Braggs reached over the fence in ’90 to beat the Pirates. I have had many favorites from Jim Maloney to Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, Adam Dunn, and Jay Bruce.

  1. This is off-topic…
Has anyone seen the Mother’s Day article on Joe Valentine and his moms? It certainly made me like him a little bit more, because now he’s more a person to me than just a pitcher who has given up a bunch of runs…but the real story is he photograph from his days on Team USA. He’s got the exact same burned-in deer-in-the-headlights look that has been giving everyone nightmares from his Reds headshot. I was astonished – I thought his Reds photo just caught him at a bad moment. Does he look like that all the time?
