I know we all thought the Reds would have an improved bullpen this year, especially since last year’s pen was historically bad.

But is it possible that this year’s pen could be worse? Ryan Wagner is the only one I trust.

It’s early yet. But that’s one of the things I plan on looking at carefully in the near future.

Since Adam Dunn continues to get a day off a week, let’s see if he can pitch. I’d say put him the rotation and see what he can do. That way we keep his bat in the lineup too.

This is starting to look like 2004 pitching all over again.

The BP works betetr when handled right, Lee should have been walked and the numbers Mercker had vs Burnetz are outstanding (unlike the ones he had against Conine) instead he sets up a youngster who is spotty with control and throws mainly heat to face off against the hottest Cub hitter. Then bringing Belise out again is a questionable move.

I like to believe that the guys have to be put in the best position to succeed.

I didn’t see alot of that today.
