The Dragons blew a 7-0 lead, losing 9-7.

Homer Bailey, pitching in relief, threw 3 1/3 innings giving up 2 hits, 1 earned run, walked 1, and struck out 6.

I’ve been a Reds fan since the late ’60’s, with my luck of being able to attend plenty of games at Riverfront during the BRM era. I was sitting in the Green Seats in the OF when Pete came home in ’84 and was in the Red seats when Glenn Braggs reached over the fence in ’90 to beat the Pirates. I have had many favorites from Jim Maloney to Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, Adam Dunn, and Jay Bruce.

  1. Another pitching prospect, Elizardo Ramirez, had a bad outing for AAA Louisville last night. From the Enquirer:

Ramirez, 22, a right-hander, allowed eight runs on 10 hits in 51/3 innings in Triple-A Louisville’s 12-10 loss to Norfolk. Ramirez had not allowed a run over 14 innings.

Wow, talk about feast or famine. We’ll have to see how he rebounds in his next start.

    Later,
    Tom
