Same Old Reds

1st and 3rd and no outs and they can’t score a run. You can’t do that against a great pitcher like Clemens.

Belisle has Clemens 0-2, goes to 3-2, and then gives up a base hit that scores two.

Dunn almost gets thrown out at 2nd in the 9th because he’s loafing on a ball he thinks is going to be foul.

The “professional hitters” Randa and Aurilia fail to move him over or score him. Randa seems to make no attempt to move the runner over, striking out. Aurilia pops out to the infield.

I know it’s only one game, but it seemed very familiar to me.

I’ve been a Reds fan since the late ’60’s, with my luck of being able to attend plenty of games at Riverfront during the BRM era. I was sitting in the Green Seats in the OF when Pete came home in ’84 and was in the Red seats when Glenn Braggs reached over the fence in ’90 to beat the Pirates. I have had many favorites from Jim Maloney to Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, Adam Dunn, and Jay Bruce.
