Marc Lancaster has some interesting notes over at his Reds Spring Training blog today. (By the way, if his blog isn’t a daily read for you, it should be):
Decisions on the first round of cuts have basically been made, but they’re being kept under wraps until Wednesday morning. Dave Miley wouldn’t even say approximately how many of the 54 players in big-league camp will be sent out. My guess is it’ll be about a dozen.
I look forward to seeing who is sent out. Also note this good news:
Ken Griffey Jr. will play the outfield for the first time Thursday night against the Twins. He’s slated to stay out there for five innings.
We’ll see how that goes.
