You know, Lonnie Wheeler seems like a great guy, and he’s got a great job following the Reds. But today’s story about Joe Randa is so absurd, I don’t even know where to begin. So I’m just going to link it, then I’m going to go take some Tylenol. Maybe I’ll address the piece later, or maybe someone else can pick up the slack in the comments section.

I can’t do it either. This garbage wants to make me throw up: Randa is the same as Casey, Dunn stinks because he didn’t hit a sac fly, etc. etc. etc.

I had a hard time getting through it. What tripe.

My “favorite” quote (yes, that was sarcasm, in case you couldn’t tell): “Rather than try to reinvent Dunn, however, they have chosen a more advisable course of action. They have surrounded his likes with a little more polished professionalism.”

Yep, makes a lot of sense to want to emulate someone that’s 30 years old with a career .838 OPS and a history of injuries and half season tanks over someone that plays every day, is 25, and has a career OPS of .894.

    Baseball wisdom….catch it.
