Reineke is 31 and in his 4th season in Louisville. Thus far this season, he’s thrown 14.2 innings, allowing only 1 run. AAA [...] Games Played on 4/17/2013 Minor League Player of the Day: James Allen threw 6.2 innings of shutout baseball. He allowed just 5 hits, walked no one and struck out a batter. AAA Louisville 8 – Columbus 3 Felix Perez (3-for-4, HR, 3 RBI) hit a 3-run homerun in the 2nd inning to put [...] Games Played on 09/02/12 Minor League Player of the Day: Bakersfield DH Dominic D’Anna: He went 3 for 4 with a HR. AAA Indianapolis 11 – Louisville 6 Felix Perez went 3 for 4 with a 2B. Neftali Soto went 2 for 2 with a 2B, a BB, and a SB. Todd Redmond, 3.63 ERA, got the loss as he went 2 IP and allowed 6 R on 5 H and 3 BB with 3 K. Jordan Smith added 1 IP of scoreless relief. AA Tennessee 7 – Pensacola 3 (15 Innings) Bryson Smith went 3 for 5 with a 3B. Beau Mills went 2 for 7 with 2 2B. Josh Fellhauer went 2 for 5 with 2 BB. Donald Lutz went 2 for 6 with a BB. Mark Fleury walked 3 times. Chad Rogers, 1.99 ERA, got no decision as he went 5.2 IP and allowed 2 R on 5 H and 1 BB with 8 K. Wilkin De La Rosa (1 IP), Justin Freeman (2 IP), and Curtis Partch (2 IP) each added scoreless relief outings. Michael Griffin took the loss allowing 4 R over 2 IP of relief. Games Played on 08/27/12 Minor League Player of the Day:: Pensacola SS Billy Hamilton went 2-5 and stole 4 bases. That brings him to 154 stolen bases on the season. But even more important is that he’s been consistent from A+ to AA. In about half as many ABs at AA, his OPS is within 10 points of what it was at A+ and his OBP has gone up a little. Over the entire season, his OBP is over .400 and that, my friends, is exciting. There’s an interesting article on Billy in today’s Enquirer. Added Note: Redleg Nation Spotlight Player, Sean Buckley, was named Midwest League Batter of the Week last week. Buckley batted .429 with three home runs and 11 runs batted in. He added five doubles and posted a slugging percentage of .929. AAA Louisville had the night off. AA Pensacola 3 – Mississippi 2 10 innings Billy Hamilton was 2-5 and stole 4 bases, Josh Fellhauer was 2-5 with a double. Blue Wahoos got a reasonable start from Mark Serrano (5 IP 4 H 2 ER 2 R 2 BB 5K), but outstanding bullpen work, highlighted by 1.1 hitless innings by Drew Hayes, a hitless inning by Wilkin De La Rosa, and a scoreless inning by Curtis Partch (picking up his 7th win). |
