Better late than never, right? All of the editors here at Redleg Nation cast their votes at the start of the month and it completely slipped my mind to actually post the winners here.
Hitter of the Month
In August, Juan Francisco hit .364/.371/.667 in 16 games at Triple – A Louisville. He also hit 5 homeruns and [...]

Congratulations go out to Bronson Arroyo, the Redleg Nation Player of the Month for August.
During July, I doubt many of us would have predicted that Arroyo would be in the running for August’s POTM honors. Well, in 6 starts, all Bronson did was put up a 1.99 ERA over 45.1 innings (which led the team). [...]

Redleg Nation would like to congratulate our Player of the Month for June 2009: Jonny Gomes.
I’m going to be honest: this was the worst field of candidates for a monthly award since we began doing these a couple of years ago. That’s not to say that Jonny Gomes didn’t have a good month; he did, [...]

Redleg Nation would like to congratulate our Player of the Month for April, Brandon Phillips.
Despite missing a few games with a thumb injury, Brandon Phillips rebounded from a miserable April to post a fantastic May. For the month, everyone’s favorite second baseman batted .352 with an on-base percentage of .392, while slugging .682. Phillips led [...]

The competition was fierce in May, but the editors here at Redleg Nation have voted and determined that Chris Heisey and Travis Wood are May’s minor league players of the month.
Hitter of the Month: In the month of May alone, Heisey hit .404/.461/.614 with 4 homeruns and 17 rbis. He also tallied 10 doubles, a triple, [...]

Could there have been any other choice? Votto hit .346 with an on-base percentage of .411 and a slugging percentage of .568. He hit 3 homers and drove in 20 RBI, second only to Albert Pujols in that category. In addition, [...]

Redleg Nation would like to congratulate our Player of the Month for August, Joey Votto.
In a repeat of Votto’s late-season heroics in 2007, Votto had a superb August, hitting .382 with a .440 OBP and a slugging percentage of .513. He had four doubles, two homers, 18 RBI, and 9 runs scored. All [...]
Redleg Nation would like to congratulate our Minor League Players of the Month for August 2008.
Hitter: Kevin Barker
Barker, a 33-year-old Southwest Virginia boy (like me), had a wonderful month of August as the 1B for the AAA Louisville Bats. Barker hit .288, with an OBP of .412 and an SLG of .613. He [...]

We’re running a little late this month, but we want to announce the Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month for July, 2008.
Hitter: Chris Dickerson, Louisville Bats (AAA)
Chris was RN’s unanimous choice for Minor League hitter of the month. He’s a 26 year old 16th round draft pick from the ‘03 draft and he [...]
Redleg Nation would like to congratulate our Player of the Month for June, Edwin Encarnacion.
Frankly, this was a very poor month’s worth of individual performances by the Reds. Encarnacion, however, stood higher than anyone else in June, posting a .294 batting average, with a .433 OBP and a .603 SLG. In 23 games, [...]
