2014 Reds / RN Radio

More podcasty goodness

Have you listened to the most recent episodes of Redleg Nation Radio? If not, you really should do that. Bill Lack sat down for some very interesting conversations about the upcoming season with Devin Mesoraco, Chris Welsh, and Mack Jenkins in the last few weeks.

We’ve mentioned it before, but our friends over at the Enquirer have put together their own fun Reds-related podcast. The most recent episode featured former Major League umpire, along with the Enquirer’s C. Trent Rosecrans and comedian Josh Sneed. It’s a good listen; please check it out.

My only objection to the podcast is the title; I would have preferred “The C. Dot(son) Show.” Y’know, because everything really needs to be about me. Obviously.

  1. I figured this was probably as good a thread as any to drop an off-topic comment. (No reference to the podcasts Bill & Chad. They are outstanding, except for some of the volume challenges, and I religiously listen to every one.)

Jonah Keri had a topical piece over at Grantland regarding the worst MLB contracts and of course the Reds made the list…

I was expecting Joey Votto or Brandon Phillips to make his list after reading his initial blurb. I was ready to pounce on the absurd notion that Joey Votto’s contract was/is a bad deal, but I found that unnecessary. I started shaking my head in anticipated agreement regarding Brandon Phillips’ contract only to find…wrong again.

The Big Brox made the list as the 11th worst contract in MLB. I just dropped my head in my hands and sighed. WJ, what were you thinking?
