  1. …and drove in 5 runs with a walk.

Now that was a prodigious walk. Take that old school walks are productive! :P

  2. Nice to see a late (very late) season promorion to A+ for Seth Mejias-Brean. He has been one of the brightly shining prospects at A ball this season. This can’t bode well for David Vidal since Mejias-Brean played 3B in his 1st game for the Blaze after being promoted from A and Juan Silverio was promoted to AA.

    3B .206/.286/.244 David Vidal @ AA in 46 games
    3B .225/.294/.343 David Vidal @ A+ in 60 games

    3B .286/.304/.473 Juan Silverio @ A+ in 126 games

    3B .305/.381/.453 Seth Mejias-Brean @ A in 127 games.

I was hoping for a big year from Vidal this season after good production at A+ & AA last season, but the train may have left the station for the 23 year old 3B. I’m not sold on the 22 year old Silverio’s defense or plate discipline, but the 22 year old Mejias-Brean looks solid so far.

  3. I was at the Dayton game last night. Lots of base clogging and a few base running incidences. Lively should not have been stuck with that loss :(
