Game Thread: Reds at Brewers (2013.08.17)

Mat Latos and his 12-3 record will try to start a new winning streak tonight in game 3 against the Brewers.  Last night’s game is behind us now so the Reds need to get back to work on trimming down that deficit between them and Pittsburgh.

Discuss the game here.

  1. Shut out by the Brewers. Outstanding pitching wasted. This team deserves whatever fate is bestowed upon it.

  2. I find it interesting that Milwaukee turned 30 year rookie Jim Henderson (drafted by the Expos!) into a solid closer, whereas the Reds took a potential ace and made him his equal.

  3. We make garbage ball pitchers look like cy young out there!!!! I feel bad for Latos!! You pitch your guts out and your rewarded with a big fat L!!! I’ve thrown in the towel on winning the central. This team doesn’t have the killer drive needed! Thanks Dusty your passing your garbage passive ways onto the psyche of the club!

Of all the tings for Redleg’s fans to complain about tonight, not making Chapman a starter is pretty low on the list.

    • @Mutaman:
What other thing is there to complain about?
Players were not ready to play tonight, did not get it done, nothing is going to change as far as the personnel goes, not sure why Cozart is batting anywhere above 8th,
I think it is worth a shot to see what Chapman can do as starter, do something…

  5. I would think that the 2013 Reds, scrambling to NOT be swept by the 2013 Brewers HAS to be a real LOW point for the season. I welcome all optimists’ arguments…

  6. That’s just the way this team rolls, sweep the Cubs, turn around and toy with getting swept by the Brewers. C’mon Reds avoid the sweep and go out tomorrow and get a win. Go Reds! Adios Amigos.
