  1. Lance asked a question Friday (then said he should have asked his man Doug Grey) about who the best hitter is in the minors. Lance could not think of anyone except Henry Rodriguez. I was shocked he didn’t know about Jesse Winker who’s been playing all year just 45 minutes up the highway.

I think the Reds top 5 prospects are crowded with pitchers, Winker being the only position player to crack that list.

  2. Nice to see a good start out of #1 pick Nick Travieso. He’s struggling, but still really young. I’m a bit concerned about his low K rate..should I be?

    • @Bill Lack: That is great to see. Perhaps I was looking at it wrong, but the 3 BBs grabbed my attention. Perhaps he’s struggling with his command of a new pitch or change of mechanics.

Perhaps the Reds should have a conversation with Tony and ask him why his pitchers struggle until they ignore his advise. Perhaps I have no idea what I’m talking about. Lol.
