  1. “Corky Miller came in to record the final two outs in the 12th”

Chuck Norris is living a good life in hopes of being reincarnated as Corky Miller.

    • @rfay00: From his Bats profile – over the last 10 BHam is .325/.449/.375

It’s only a matter of time before he starts finding a few triples a midst an increase in doubles to help his slugging percentage . . .

Could this be yet another example of BHam catching up to the new level of competition?

    • @rfay00: BHam has made a significant adjustment in his hitting since the start of the AAA season. His initial performance was disturbing, considering that the Reds are probably counting on him hit in the top of the order and man CF in 2014.

.205/.278/.307 BHam’s slash line for April
.280/.347/.355 BHam’s slash line for May
.324/.405/.432 BHam’s slash line for the past 4 series (5/10-5/27)

  2. Are they grooming Corky to be a closer?? lol. He has to look like ole Al Hrabosky, The Mad Hungarian, on the mound.

  3. If Shchi, BHam continues at this rate, all of the early season predictions may yet come true.

How cool would it be to see him in the mix with the big club in August if his improvement continues purely from a standpoint that we need another outfielder. He could be part of a 3 player platoon and that would really benefit his development.

I am sure it is why Walt is slow to the panic button on filling the LF hole.

The next step that will help BHam is when he cranks up the stolen base machine. Then guys will not want to walk him 4 times as he will make them pay. That will also increase the pitches to hit for him.

    Keep it up Billy

BHam leads the International league with 26 steals in 30 attempts, an 86% success rate. This doesn’t factor in the pick off instances, but his stolen base machine is already cranked up.

  4. great points Shchi,

The pick offs are learning curve and I think that happens less the second half of this year at AAA.

He will have that curve again at the next level where the guys have the best moves going.

I remain excited to see him this summer with the big club
